CORE CLINICAL FOCUS

Tracy Anyagre, MA, RCC

Hello,

I am Tracy, founder of Wuninspires Wellness. As a qualified registered clinical psychotherapist, (RCC #25818), registered with the largest association of clinical counsellors in BC, the BCACC. In my 12 years in the mental health field, I’ve been trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities that can be tailored to your unique needs and experiences, empowering you to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and insight.  I am passionate about creating a safe, compassionate, and empowering space where your voice is heard, your story is honoured, and your journey is valued.

I deeply believe that everyone has a story that is uniquely theirs, a narrative shaped by life’s challenges, triumphs, and moments of growth. With every challenge, there is a root, and within each person lies the strength and resilience to face and overcome even the toughest obstacles. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you uncover that strength, explore the roots of your struggles, and empower you to rewrite your narrative with hope and purpose.

With over a decade of frontline experience in mental health and substance use services, I have worked alongside individuals, families, and marginalized communities facing complex life challenges. My experience spans community mental health, youth and adult services, crisis intervention, trauma recovery, concurrent disorders, and interdisciplinary care.

Frequently Asked Questions

MSP does not cover psychotherapy and counselling in Surrey, but they may be covered through a hospital program, mental health team, or your workplace or school.

The most important distinction between a psychologist and a counsellor is their approach. To assist persons in better managing their mental health, psychologists use techniques like CBT. Counsellors, on the other hand, encourage and help clients to discover their own ways to manage their feelings while also offering the support they require.

Counselling in Surrey is a type of “talk therapy” that involves an individual, couple, or family meeting with a qualified counsellor to discuss their difficulties and concerns. Professional counselling is confidential and non-judgmental.

Counselling in Surrey is the art of establishing a relationship with the client based on trust, empathy, active listening, professional expertise, conduct, and boundaries. It’s the practice of absorbing information while remaining quiet and looking for issues that may be lurking beneath the surface of what’s said during an encounter.

These are some of the most common skills you will develop if you start counselling in Surrey.

  • Improved communication and interpersonal abilities
  • More self-acceptance and self-esteem
  • Improved ability to modify self-destructive habits/behaviours
  • Greater expression and management of feelings, including anger
  • Improved mood regulation

5 things you must know before your first counselling session in Surrey:

  1. Read about your counsellor’s credentials.
  2. What you share stays confidential.
  3. Your counsellor cannot read your mind, you have to open up, at least a little bit.
  4. Talking about your feelings can be uncomfortable but its part of the healing process.
  5. Keep looking till you find a match. We might not be the counselling team for you, but do not despair, you will find someone that is perfect for you.

With that in mind, you can always ask any questions you might have to one of our counsellors. We are always here to help and guide you towards feeling better with counselling in Surrey.
